MY DAILY WALK

NOVEMBER 15
What evidence of God’s grace I have experienced today. He is alive and he lives in me. I have been faced with a tremendous hurt this weekend and have clung to God’s purpose and plan for my life. On Saturday night I began to get into scripture and for whatever reason clung to Romans 8:38-39 as something I have been trying to memorize and claim when I feel moments of defeat. I wrote this verse in my notes section on my I phone Saturday night to remember the verse. Today in class I was trying to quote Romans 8:38-39 and looked to my phone to jolt my memory of the wording. Staying in continually prayer an focusing on the Lord, I came home and opened my Daily Walk bible to November 15, todays date. Let me share with you the overview at the top:

God’s Power for Righteous Living Romans 6-8
“Paul, the gifted debater, anticipates the logical questions that will follow his explanation of justification by faith: Since grace abounds, may I continue to sin? Can I sin because I am no longer under the law, but under grace? Is the law sinful? After answering these questions, Paul moves on to dicuss the constant struggle between the two power at work within: the sinful nature and the Spirt He concludes his argument by revealing to liberating facts: “there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus” (8:1) and NOTHING IN HEAVEN OR ON EARTH CAN SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD (8:39).

If the Lord isn’t speaking to me than I don’t know what is.

“We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin. And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him. We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God. So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus” (Romans 6:6-11)

“Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace” (Romans 6:14)

The spiritual battle-- the church service Sunday was about the spiritual war we are all in i.e sinful nature in us vs. the Holy spirit
“I love God’s law with all my heart. But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord, So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin” (Romans 7:22-25)

ROMANS CHAPTER 8: “so now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Jesus Christ. And because you belong to him, the power of the life giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared and end to sins control over us by giving his Soon as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit. (Romans 8:1-4)

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” (Romans 8-28)

AND THE LAST PARAGRAPH OF MY DAILY WALK FOR NOVEMBER 15 is this great TRUTH :
“AND I AM CONVINCED THAT NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US FROM GOD’S LOVE. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus. ( ROMANS 8:38-39)
AMEN.
